Hello! My name is Xiaolin. I am a native Mandarin speaker with over 14 years of teaching experience and a strong passion for helping students succeed. I began my career as a primary school music teacher in China and have been tutoring Mandarin in London since 2010.
I currently support students at a secondary school with their Mandarin GCSE exam preparation, and I also work as a private tutor. My students range from 6 to 15 years old and include both beginners and advanced learners. I take great pride in creating a positive, engaging learning environment where students feel supported and motivated.
Since 2010, I have also been teaching Mandarin GCSE classes at a Mandarin school. I’m proud to say that all of my students have passed their exams, and nearly 98% achieved top grades (Grade 9 or 8).
I specialize in preparing students for a variety of Mandarin exams, including:
• GCSE Mandarin
• IGCSE
• YCT (Youth Chinese Test)
• IB Mandarin
• SAT Chinese
• HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), and more
I hold certifications in Mandarin Spoken Level One, Educational Theory, and Educational Psychology, and I have a valid CRB check.
If you’re passionate about Chinese language and culture and are looking for a patient, responsible, and experienced tutor to guide you through your Mandarin learning journey – especially for exam preparation – I’d love to help you reach your goals.
Feel free to get in touch – I look forward to supporting your success in Mandarin!
