I am a friendly, easy going, kind, maths teacher with a 15 year old son. I explain maths concepts in an easy to understand way which boosts the learners confidence.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in an FE college for 9 years, teaching GCSE resit maths at foundation level. I have a PGCE in numeracy. I specialise in ensuring learners achieve their grade 4/5 pass. I have expertise at teaching foundation level learners, who require some additional support to push them on. I am not only a maths teacher, but head of department with an extremely good pass rate. I build a rapport with my students so they feel comfortable and able to learn. I am able to make learners feel confident, and fill in the gaps in their knowledge so they can achieve their desirable grade.

Tutoring Approach

I like to make the learner feel comfortable. I understand many learners maths anxiety, and other learning needs, which are holding them back from achieving their “pass”. I try to boost their confidence by explaining concepts in an easy to understand way, with simple steps so they can get to grips with each topic and then build on strong foundations.
