I'm a third-year medical student with a First Class Honours degree in Biomedical Science. I’ve always had a passion for science, the human body, and healthcare—and I love helping others discover that same excitement through learning. During my undergraduate studies, I achieved the highest dissertation mark in my cohort and was awarded the Royal Society of Biology’s Top Project Award. Outside of university, I enjoy making science more accessible and engaging for younger learners, especially those who might feel unsure of their abilities. Having once struggled with studying myself, I understand the value of patience, encouragement, and finding the right learning style for each student.
I have experience tutoring Biology and Chemistry at GCSE level and supporting students with university applications, including UCAS, UCAT, personal statements, and scholarship/bursary advice. My academic background includes GCSE and A-Level in Biology and Chemistry, and my performance at university has been recognised through academic awards I’ve worked with students of varying confidence levels and abilities and have been described as patient, approachable, and fun in my teaching style.
I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all method when it comes to learning. Each student is unique, and my goal is to adapt my teaching to suit their individual needs. I take an interactive approach using active recall techniques—asking questions throughout lessons to reinforce learning and encourage deeper understanding. I also offer optional homework tasks, mark scheme guidance, past paper practice, and structured support for students applying to Medicine, Dentistry, or Biomedical Science courses. Above all, I aim to create a warm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities.
