I am very passionate teacher, coach and outdoor instructor and excel in helping young people over achieve in the classroom, sports arena and outdoors. I have been a National Squad for basketball and also ran a basketball academy. I have also been an outdoor instructor and really value the impact outdoor education can have on helping develop skills and confidence in young people that they can apply to different areas of their lives.
I have been a teacher for over 20 years and am head of a Health and Wellbeing faculty. I have taught National and Higher level PE as well as writing courses for both PE and outdoor education. I have been a verifier within my authority for both written and practical performance. I asses students locally and nationally for practical performance in outdoor pursuits, to assist other schools.
Students learn in many different ways and as an educator I adapt how I teach and tutor to support the needs of the student. I will deliver tutoring online and will give students access to the resources that I use to guide their learning.
