I have 20 year teaching experience across the keystages and in Mainstream and Special schools. I am currently working as a Specialist Teacher supporting pupils with various Special Educational Needs including Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism. I specialize in individual dyslexia tuition for reading, spelling, handwriting; mathematics and times tables; low self esteem and nervous children; and confidence building.

Tutoring Experience

I am experienced SENDCo and SEND teacher for Dyslexia, Mathematics and Literacy/English. Teaching in both primary and secondary settings have allowed me to develop my strengths as a teacher demonstrating excellent knowledge and understanding of all stages of education.

Tutoring Approach

I use a student centered approach where the needs of the individual learner form the basis of the lessons. I specialize in academic study skills tuition, revision & exam technique and teaching children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. I structure lessons designed to meet individual needs and provide regular feedback and assessment. I have experience in Literacy and Maths intervention teaching, academic study skills tuition, revision strategies and exam technique. I am available for home tuition weekday evenings and some Saturday mornings (9:00 - 11:00 only).
