I’m Max, a recent Natural Sciences graduate from the University of Bath currently pursuing a PhD. Being naturally curious I have a passion for maths and the sciences as they answer fundamental questions about our world. I find discussing these subjects with curious minds incredibly rewarding.

Outside of Academics I’m an avid outdoorsman. You can find me fishing, swimming, walking, cycling, running, camping.

Tutoring Experience

Tutoring Approach

Being only 22 I find I am in a position to relate to students and have recent first hand experience of their examinations. This means I can offer sound advice which is well-received and taken onboard.

In terms of lesson style I find that with an online lesson the best approach is to teach in a conversational manner with lots of questions as this keeps the student engaged and the faced paced thinking and cross linking solidifies a genuine understanding as opposed to wrote-memorisation. I also utilise drawings and diagrams through interactive whiteboards which can be reviewed outside of lesson time eg whilst completing homework.
