Hi! I’m Maria, a Psychology MSc graduate and native Spanish speaker currently training to become a Child and Adolescent Psychologist in London (Doctorate 2025–2028), which informs my holistic and empathetic approach. I've been delivering career consultations over the past 2 years for young people and personally understand the challenges of pivoting careers.

I now offer 1:1 career coaching sessions for A-Level students (Year 12 & 13) who are navigating the often overwhelming transition from secondary school into adulthood—whether that’s university, apprenticeships, gap years, sixth form, or alternative pathways.

Tutoring Experience

With over 4 years of experience across the corporate, education, and non-for-profit sectors, I’ve worked extensively with young people aged 11–18 in schools, colleges, and charitable organisations; and, over the past two years, my job has been to provide tailored career and life guidance to individuals, supporting their transition into further education, training, or employment.

My background includes roles such as: Student Placement Officer, SEN Employment Advisor, Wellbeing Coordinator, and English tutor, where I’ve supported diverse students including those with SEN, mental health challenges, and those navigating systemic barriers.

Tutoring Approach

My sessions use the IKIGAI framework to explore:
- What you love – Passions and interests
- What you are good at – Strengths and skills
- What the world needs – Purpose and contribution
- What you can be paid for – Practical, sustainable pathways

Sessions include:
- Visual tools and structured coaching activities
- Reflective journaling
- Progress tracking
- Optional parent consultations to share updates and discuss strategies for continued support
