I am a qualified Physics teacher with over eight years of experience teaching GCSE Physics in London secondary schools, including roles as Head of Physics and Head of Science. I have a Master's degree in Physics from Imperial College London, and I am currently pursuing a second Master's degree.
I am passionate about Physics and committed to helping students strengthen their understanding and achieve excellent exam results. I am happy to travel to you for tuition sessions, as I believe in-person learning is often more effective than online. I focus exclusively on Physics because it’s the subject I’m most passionate about.
In addition to my qualified teacher status, I hold a teaching leadership qualification awarded by the Department for Education, which has helped me support students and refine my teaching practice.
While at school, I was awarded a national prize for my performance in Physics exams, reflecting my long-term commitment to the subject. I aim to share the techniques that made me successful with my students.
This year, I’m leaving teaching to begin training as a medical physicist with the NHS, and will be completing a second Master’s degree in Physics. I’m keen to bring my experience and knowledge into tutoring.
I primarily teach Edexcel GCSE Physics but can also support IGCSE students. I focus on building students’ understanding of the subject and developing strong exam techniques. I have led small group and Saturday revision sessions, both in school and privately, which have helped students improve their grades. I also have one-to-one experience preparing students for both GCSE and A-level exams.
I explain topics clearly and break down complex ideas into manageable chunks. I emphasise exam technique, including how to approach questions and manage time during exams. Physics exams are very formulaic, so a strong understanding of past exam papers sets students up to succeed.
I tailor lessons to each student’s needs and regularly check progress to adjust my approach. My aim is to help students build confidence and achieve their best in Physics.
