I'm an enthusiastic, diligent and reliable university graduate and fully-qualified teacher currently based in Winchester, Hampshire. I'm incredibly passionate about Mathematics and breaking down stereotypes about the subject, making it as accessible as possible for everyone. I feel very strongly about helping others experience success with something that they've previously struggled with.

Tutoring Experience

I've had 5 years of experience in the education sector (2020-2025) — during this time I've taught and supported students with various different needs and learning styles; this has strongly informed my approach to teaching adaptably.

My previous roles include: Cover Supervisor at several secondary schools, Learning Mentor at a Post-16 College, being a Secondary Maths Teacher Trainee and also acquiring a Teacher of Mathematics role at a secondary school in Hampshire.

Tutoring Approach

I'm a firm believer in strong communication skills and in actually listening to students and their parents/guardians, understanding as best I can what parts of the curriculum they feel more comfortable with, and what parts they feel more uncertain about.

There are many concepts and topics in Mathematics that students may find complex — my approach to tutoring consists of effectively breaking these particular topics down into small digestible chunks, building upon their prior knowledge to ensure familiarity and comfortability. I like to ensure that students thoroughly understand the subject matter covered, and feel confident about it, before moving on to the next chunk of knowledge. It's important to me that each and every student makes consistent progress, and can also personally feel that they're advancing with each session.
