My love of teaching and learning go hand in hand, and share my love of art, literature and culture with my students, who often go on to achieve their very best results at school and university. I first lectured as a post graduate at the University of York where I studied English Literature and the History of Art, and for the last 25 years I have taught in universities, private (mostly) and state schools, museums and galleries both in the UK and America. I often coached students through successful application processes (inc. statements / references) to top universities in the UK and America, including for successful Oxbridge entrance.
I am a teacher of 25 years experience in private, state schools, and at university. I have met the learning needs of pupils from the age of 8 to 19 - from those learning to read for the first time to Oxbridge entrance.
I specialise in English GCSE and A level, English Literature and the History of Art.
I regularly offer support for the full UCAS process, including close tuition for personal statements.
I have had considerable success with younger (8-12 years) and dyslexic students helping them to make step changes in their reading levels.
I have also supported students with entrance to selective private schools, including Eton.
To find enjoy learning whilst achieving the best possible results.
