This was my first time using a tutor and was slightly unsure what to expect. I have to say Julia has been brilliant for my son. I wanted some extra help before his stats, but has been amazing during lockdown too. Julia made my son feel very at ease and has been excellent at understanding his areas of development. He really enjoyed his weekly lesson and looked forward to them. He has not only improved in his work but his confidence in learning new things, which is down to Julia being such a great teacher. I would definitely recommend Julia, she has been fantastic for my son.

Robbie has really enjoyed his first couple of sessions with Julia and is enthusiastic about his English work for the first time in a long time.

Our 7 years old daughter has been given English tutorials by Julia for about four months. It looks Julia has got organised and structured tutorial notes, but in the meantime always tailors the tutorials to my daughter's specific needs. Julia discovers the potential of the kid and has given tremendous encouragement to her. The kid has been able to work hard during each session and make full use of the time, which is the best thing I would like to see. Absolutely my daughter enjoyed every tutorial with Julia, and always came out of Julia's place with a smiley face and keen for next week session!
Julia is very approachable and considerate. She wraps up every session with an email summary to us, so that we can track the progress easily in addition to kid's notes. Julia is punctual and organised. We would absolutely recommend Julia to other parents with similar needs without hesitation.

My son has been going to see Julia since January this year (2018) and I can see the positive difference it has made. He always looks forward to the sessions, engages with Julia during the sessions and is so encouraged and positive afterwards. It is just lovely to watch him develop with Julia's guidance and I feel he really connects with her method, style and technique of teaching - which I understand to be specifically tailored to each child and their own personalitiy and requirements which has made such a difference.

I have found Julia extremely personable, friendly, approachable and knowledgeable with a wealth of experience in coaching children for entrance exams and the 11+. Julia is a delight to work with, we are very lucky to have found her and I can't recommend her highly enough. Thank you!

Julia has been absolutely excellent an dis 4 months into tutoring my son for his 11+ exams. She very quickly picked up on areas of strengths and weaknesses and I have seen his confidence grown over the past 4 months. We are thrilled to have Julia tutoring our 9 year old son in preparation for 11+ entrance exams. Her approach is methodical - she works through the syllabus to ensure that he understands all of the concepts, then she moves on to practice exams, reinforcing learning at each step. Julia's experience in preparing children for exams shines through. She has an excellent knowledge of schools in the area and the exam preparation process. Julia is kind yet firm with our son, and he enjoys their weekly sessions. For us the parents, Julia is reassuring and provides detailed feedback after each session.
