I am a friendly 24-year-old, recently graduated with first class honours in Economics from the University of Manchester. I love working with students of all ages, and find it easy to relate having recently graduated myself. I specialise in teaching mathematics up to GCSE level and economics up to university standard. I am am also available to teach French up to GCSE level, as I am fluent to B2 level using the CEFR standard.
I began tutoring in 2021 to earn a little extra money during my university years, teaching mathematics to kids up to GCSE level. I quickly found this was something I really enjoyed and have continued to do so ever since. Now with 4 years experience, I continue to offer mathematics tutoring, as well as university standard economics tutoring since graduating from the University of Manchester with first class honours.
My approach to maths tutoring varies per student. For students who want to focus on any weaker areas within the curriculum, I will start tutoring by focusing on these problem areas. I always found that when I took time to build confidence in my weakest areas, my confidence was boosted hugely. Alternatively, I can follow the weekly school learning to boost understanding if students/parents prefer.
In terms of university economics tutoring, I do not offer weekly curriculum tutoring but am available to assist with any essays, coursework, dissertation or exam work. In my sessions, we work through your assignment to try and arrive at high-level answers before submission. Alternatively, for essays I am available to help to structure, prioritise and proofread any work needed.
For French tutoring, my approach varies greatly depending on the initial proficiency, but I can cover all subjects including grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
