I hold a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics with QTS and come from an Accounting and Finance background. My passion for maths and its real-world applications inspired me to transition into teaching. I’ve been teaching in schools and tutoring for the past three years, and I currently serve as the KS3 Maths Lead. I’m enthusiastic about helping students see the beauty in maths and building their confidence through understanding.

Tutoring Experience

I have three years of experience teaching and tutoring secondary maths, working with students across KS3 and GCSE levels. As the KS3 Lead, I’ve developed and delivered engaging schemes of work tailored to diverse learning needs. My experience spans classroom teaching, one-to-one tutoring, and small group sessions, both in-person and online. I’ve helped students make significant progress, especially those who started with gaps in their understanding.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach focuses on building deep conceptual understanding and identifying and addressing gaps in knowledge. I believe in making maths accessible and enjoyable by connecting it to real-life contexts and using a variety of strategies and tools. I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, encouraging questions and fostering a growth mindset. Whether preparing for exams or strengthening foundational skills, I aim to instill confidence and a love for learning.
