Hello, I am a 36 year old mother of one. I am a primary school teacher, with over 8 years of teaching experience. Prior to this I have worked as a teaching assistant and private tutor for children up to 11 years of age. I have also worked as a sole charge nanny.
Qualifications and Experience
I am a qualified teacher with over 8 years of classroom experience, I obtained QTS at Brighton University with a PGCE in Primary Education (3-7 years). Having previously completed an undergraduate degree in Human Geography.
My role as a teacher and a tutor has enabled me to better facilitate and understand how to deliver quality first teaching and learning to children who are deaf, and how to adapt lessons and resources for their individual needs.
Working within schools in Brighton and Hove I have gained understanding and experience in teaching children, and supporting families from diverse backgrounds and challenging socio-economic areas and SEND. This has equipped me with tools and techniques needed to relate to the children I am teaching and avoid inadvertently limiting their progress. I am a creative and nurturing educator, who has the wellbeing of the whole child at the centre of my practice. I have had a very positive journey throughout my teaching career.
