Hi! I'm a final-year Politics student at the University of Leeds, on track to graduate with a First. I have a strong academic background in both Politics, History, and I love helping students feel more confident and curious about these subjects.
I’ve worked as an Academic Writing Mentor at university, supporting students with essays, research skills, and critical thinking. I understand that academic work can feel overwhelming sometimes, so I aim to make things easier to understand and a lot less stressful.
I’m especially passionate about interactive learning — I believe the best way to learn is through open discussion, asking questions, and finding what works for you. Whether it's breaking down a historical event, debating political ideas, or improving your essay structure, I’ll tailor sessions to your pace and style.
I love History and Politics because they help us make sense of the world and the past — and I hope to help you enjoy them too!
Aside from my educational experience receiving A*A* A for Politics, Art and History at A-Level and a first class Politics degree, I have plenty of tutoring experiecne with a range of ages. I have worked as an Academic Writing Mentor at the University of Leeds, supporting undergraduate students with essay writing, structure, and critical thinking. I also have experience working with younger learners, including as a primary school tutor at the Leeds Refugee Forum Homework Club, where I helped children with reading, writing, and homework tasks. In addition, I’ve worked as a Teaching Assistant at a local children’s art club, supporting creative learning in a fun and inclusive environment.
I aim to make learning interactive, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether we’re planning an essay or revising a tricky topic, I focus on building confidence and breaking things down clearly. I encourage questions, open discussion, and active learning, helping students feel more in control and engaged with their subjects. Most importantly, I create a calm, encouraging space where students feel comfortable to make progress at their own pace.
