I’m a friendly and passionate maths tutor with a First-Class Honours degree in Mathematics from the University of York and a PGCE from King’s College London. I offer tutoring for students from Primary level through to GCSE and A-Level, and I enjoy helping learners of all ages gain confidence and achieve their goals. I’m patient, adaptable, and committed to making maths feel more approachable and even enjoyable for every student.
I’ve been tutoring since I was in sixth form, helping classmates and younger students with their maths studies. Since then, I’ve gone on to tutor students across a wide range of abilities and ages, from Key Stage 2 all the way to A-Level. I’ve supported students through exam preparation, topic revision, and confidence-building work. As a qualified secondary maths teacher with PGCE training from King’s College London, I also bring professional classroom experience to my one-to-one tutoring.
My tutoring approach is flexible and student-led. I begin with an informal first session to understand the student’s current level and areas of need. From there, I usually focus each lesson on one or two core topics to ensure solid progress. I also regularly incorporate past exam papers and real exam-style questions to build familiarity and confidence. For students who prefer a more responsive style, I’m happy to help them work through questions from class or homework. Above all, I aim to build understanding and self-belief in maths, at a pace that suits each learner.
