I am currently a PhD student, having just left teaching. I have worked with students for ten years, and have particular experience in working with neurodivergent young people. I have training in trauma-informed teaching and the wellbeing of students is always at the forefront of my teaching.
Before gaining QTS in 2023, I had taught primary English, with particular focus on the Year 6 SATs, for three years. After qualifying I taught Sociology and Criminology at A Level, RE at KS3 and English at KS3 and 4. This was for two years.
I am a good-humoured, patient teacher who likes to build a relationship with students and tailor my teaching to best suit the individual. It is important that what I teach is as relevant as possible in order to maintain engagement and enthusiasm, as this supports learning.
