Home Tuition for Maths and Physics in Nottingham

Cambridge MASt Applied Mathematics | Warwick First Class BSc | 1000+ Hours Experience Since January 2024

I teach Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics from GCSE through university level, covering all major examination boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR, CIE). I prepare students for university entrance examinations including MAT, PAT, STEP, and TMUA, with particular expertise in Oxbridge admissions.

I hold an MASt in Applied Mathematics from St Catharine's College, Cambridge, and a First Class BSc in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Warwick. My Part III specialization at Cambridge focused on differential geometry applications in theoretical physics. This advanced study provided expertise in multivariable calculus, ordinary and partial differential equations, and linear algebra, alongside broader competencies in pure and applied mathematics.

I have substantial experience working with students who have special educational needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

I work part-time as a support worker at Emmanuel House Support Centre in Nottingham, a charity serving rough sleepers and vulnerably housed individuals. This role complements my tutoring practice by developing advanced communication skills and broadening my professional perspective. The position requires an Enhanced DBS Certificate, available upon request.

Tutoring Approach

I focus on problem-solving through exam-style practice. Students achieve strong results by spending maximal lesson time working through questions under my guidance.

I conduct sessions via Discord for voice communication and file sharing, using Pencil Spaces as a digital whiteboard that preserves work for future reference. Alternative platforms can be arranged upon request.

I also provide Python programming instruction using Jupyter notebooks, supporting computer science students and industry professionals working in machine learning and deep learning applications.
