Calum

My name is Calum and I'm delighted that you've considered me to be your languages tutor. I grew up in Scotland and now live in London. I studied German, Spanish and Italian at St Andrews University, and have lived variously in Colombia, Spain, and Germany. In addition, I have been trained in Russian to degree level.
I thoroughly enjoy working with all learners, and particularly enjoy brand new students and those studying for school and university exams. In addition, I offer detailed conversational work in German and Spanish for more advanced learners.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored privately for over 10 years in Scotland, England and abroad. Additionally, I have also worked as a language assistant in the UK and abroad. I have a wide range of experience of all levels and abilities, and a detailed knowledge of the exam curriculum. Additionally, i enjoy teaching beginners and those learning for pleasure.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to make my lessons as fun and interactive as possible, with an emphasis on your learning. I very much favour a conversational approach, but am thoroughly adaptable and able to work with all learners. Initially, I will seek out what your aims and styles are and then base my lessons around what you want. Above all, I want it to be fun!
