Hi, I’m Babak, an experienced and passionate online tutor specializing in Maths and English. I’ve worked with students of all ages and abilities, helping them build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their academic goals. My approach is patient, personalized, and focused on making learning engaging and accessible. Whether it’s preparing for exams, catching up on missed topics, or building a stronger foundation, I’m here to support each student at their own pace. With clear explanations, structured lessons, and consistent feedback, I aim to make every session productive and enjoyable. I have tutored SEN students, I am very adaptable to the students needs. I am also a big football enthusiast . I often find that this breaks the ice!

Tutoring Experience

I have several years of experience tutoring both Maths and English in a variety of settings, including small group sessions, one-on-one lessons, and within primary schools. Working closely with children in school environments has given me a strong understanding of the national curriculum and the different ways young learners absorb information. I tailor each lesson to suit individual needs, helping students build both skills and confidence at their own pace.

Outside of tutoring, I’m passionate about darts—a game that surprisingly ties in with maths! Scoring, calculating averages, and quick mental arithmetic are all part of the game, and it’s a great way to show how mathematics can be practical, fun, and relevant to everyday life. I enjoy using real-life examples like this to help students see the value and enjoyment in what they’re learning.

I believe that when students are having fun, they’re more engaged and more likely to retain what they’ve learned. That’s why I bring a lot of creativity into my sessions, using a range of educational games and activities that make concepts easier to understand and remember.

I’m always coming up with new ideas to keep lessons fresh and exciting, whether it’s turning spelling into a challenge, using number games to build maths skills, or connecting lessons to real-life interests. I aim to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating progress.
