I am 20 years old who has studied A level Spanish and I didn't choose GCSE Spanish so I had to learn the whole syllabus in 3 months to sit exams at college to prove I was capable of the A level. My college said no one has done this before and done well but I came out with an A overall in 2023 sitting A levels. I love Spanish and I am passionate about teaching it as I believe we English don't make enough effort as foreigners do. It is such a wonderful and useful skill to have. I love travelling and one day want to live in Spain.
I have studied A level Spanish and since then visited Spanish cities and immersed myself in the language. I have only got experience teaching family members and friends but would love to start teaching those doing GCSE as I have studied them myself with a tutor as well as A level, achieving an A.
I would assess the students level and review the syllabus to cover everything paper by paper but ask them what they are struggling with most. I would change up the style of learning e.g use flashcards, games, whiteboards and real life situations.
