I am a full time tutor, having been a Deputy Head, an Assistant Head, a Head of English and an English teacher for 18 years at various schools, including independent and state comprehensive school. During my free time (if I have any!) I enjoy reading, creative writing, comedy and watching quality drama on TV.

Tutoring Experience

I have had a range of experiences in both the independent and state sector. In addition, I have taught a range of specifications and courses, but am currently teaching AQA English Language and Literature at GCSE. I have a huge range of knowledge of A level English Literature courses across a wide range of specifications, with particular expertise in Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde amongst others.

Tutoring Approach

I will build your experience around what you feel you most need. In addition, if you are struggling to understand what it is you need, I will build a programme built around the specification and show you how to address the assessment objectives. If you need further work, I can highlight a range of tasks to practice and perfect your skills.

I can do anything from simple sentence construction to high level Literature analysis. If you want help getting foundational help at Key Stage Three or you think you can get an A Star at A level, I am willing to provide structured support that suits you.
